Вопрос к уважаемому сообществу useful_faq

Сегодня, 2 апреля - Всемирный день распространения информации о проблеме аутизма. В связи с этим Монумент Независимости в Киеве будет подсвечен голубым цветом с 19 до 23 часов.

Собcтвенно вопрос заключается вот в чём:

Чем мотивирована традиция голубой подсветки, если awareness ribbon, связанная с проблемами аутизма - мозаичная?

потому что мероприеятие изначально придумали в autism speaks а у них символ - голубой кусок мозаики http://www.autismspeaks.org/what-autism/waad/about-world-autism-awareness-day

Т.е. каждая часть мозаики соответствует определённой организации или, например, дисфункции (следуя логике ответа)?

The puzzle piece is so effective because it tells us something about autism: our children are handicapped by a puzzling condition; this isolates them from normal human contact and therefore they do not ‘fit in’.”

Since then, the interlocking, mutli-colored puzzle piece has become the international symbol of autism. Its significance has become multi-faceted. For some it represents the mystery and complexity of the disorder, for others it represents the mechanical nature of an autistics persons thought process. The bright colors are said to represent hope.

The meaning of a puzzled ribbon is quite clear ("our children are handicapped by a puzzling condition").
I can`t see what is the reason for the blue lighting.

One of the reasonable answers I`ve got was "because of INDIGO pattern".

Еще раз: голубой цвет просто является цветом эмблемы организации autism speaks, которая организует мероприятие light it up blue. Это не цвет/символ аутизма, это цвет/символ мероприятия и организации.

Есть версия, что голубой(синий) цвет связан с тем, что аутизм чаще выявляют у мальчиков, чем у девочек.
