ситуация: получилось у меня сдать несколько проф. экзаменов ну уж слишком хорошо, и теперь за это меня будут награждать в официальной обстановке в присутствии всех местных членов этого professional body (как оно по-русски-то?) и преподавателей, которые также члены оного. Обстановка официально-праздничная (annual gala-dinner, ежегодное их собрание с супругами).
Вопрос: чего сказать-то в ответ?.
Нобелевской речи от меня не требуется, ясное дело. Ну выведут меня на сцену, вручат приз, и надо что-то говорить. У меня ступор. Ну, спасибо за хорошее преподавание (great tuition или что-то в этом роде). Лучезарная улыбка им в зал. А дальше что?.
особого официоза говорить не надо, преподы все очень вменяемые люди, на лекциях просят обращаться к ним просто по имени и на перерывах тусуются со студентами. То есть отношения скорее "старший товарищ". Поэтому сказать что-то человеческим языком им вроде надо бы..
Подкиньте идей, чего сказать-то, а?.. хоть три-четыре предложения. а то не сильна я в разговорном жанре..
Место действия - заграница, если что.

не, я уже практически местная, меня не воспринимают как импортную гастролершу... надо слиться с местной общественностью :) поэтому долгие связи стран скорее озадачат их, надо что-то общее и нейтральное.

Dear Professors, dear Guests.
First of all, I would like to thank you for this award. It is a bit of unexpected and I feel that there should be than just me holding this piece. The process of learning and by that I mean the one of becoming a new and more knowledgeble person can never be centred around just the one. It is never results of a monologue, but rather of all of us having had a certain input at one point or another. Therefore, I would like to share it with you all. My first thanks goes to all my professors, standing/sitting right here (тут показываешь на них рукой). Without your guidance I wouldn't have achieved all this. My second thanks, yet nonethelesls just as important goes to my friends, who have endured me all this time. A quarter of this prize (trophy?) truly belongs to you for enduring me all this time! And last, but not the least, I would like to thank my parents, who have given me this opportunity and brought me up, up to this stage, this stage of life even! :) *здесь просто игра слов* This is truly inspiring and I hope that there will be more of us following my footsteps, workign in this dialogue, working as a team. Thank you all!

ошибки не проблема, все равно оно в живой речи перекрутится по-своему, в смысле, мне ж не в письменном виде это надо, а в устной речи все это дело более гибкое.
